Synopsis 시놉시스

중년 남성 석태는 일상에 치여 가족과의 관계가 점점 멀어진 채로 살아간다. 특히 어머니와의 갈등은 오래된 상처로 남아 있고, 그는 제대로 표현하지 못한 사랑과 후회 속에서 괴로워한다. 어느 날 어머니의 갑작스러운 소식을 듣게 된 석태는 잃어버렸던 기억과 감정을 마주하게 된다. 그는 늦어버린 선택 앞에서 가족의 의미를 다시 되새기며, 상실을 통해 비로소 자신을 이해하게 된다.

Seok-tae, a middle-aged man worn down by work and daily burdens, grows distant from his family. His unresolved conflict with his mother lingers as regret and unspoken love. When unexpected news about her reaches him, Seok-tae is forced to confront memories he avoided. Through loss, he rediscovers the meaning of family and gains a quiet understanding of himself.

이 영화는 가족 안에서 쉽게 지나쳐 버리는 상처와 후회의 감정을 담고 싶었다. 우리는 가장 가까운 존재에게 오히려 마음을 표현하지 못하고, 시간이 지나서야 그 의미를 깨닫곤 한다. 석태가 어머니를 떠올리는 순간들은 단순한 회상이 아니라, 누구나 마음속에 남겨둔 ‘말하지 못한 사랑’에 대한 기록이다. 상실 이후에야 비로소 관계의 본질을 마주하는 인간의 모습을 통해, 관객 또한 자신의 가족을 다시 바라보는 시간이 되기를 바란다.

This film seeks to portray the quiet wounds and lingering regrets that are often overlooked within a family. We frequently fail to express our true feelings to those closest to us, realizing their meaning only after time has passed. Seok-tae’s memories of his mother are not simple recollections, but traces of the unspoken love that many of us carry in our hearts. By showing how people face the truth of a relationship only after loss, I hoped this story would encourage viewers to look again at their own families—before it is too late.
